Waiting on Wednesday #5

Hello, everybody!

How are you all doing today? I’m feeling a little down because I have a presentation of my German course tomorrow. We had to watch Schindler’s List and another movie about the Holocaust. Then, we had to pick three scenes from every movie that touched us and then talk about it in class. It’s a really heavy topic but I’m glad we are doing it. It reminds us once again what humans (if we can even call them that) are capable of.

Now, let’s cheer up by talking about some books!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog feature hosted by Breaking the Spine. You spotlight an upcoming release that you’re eagerly anticipating.

I haven’t read any books of Adam Silvera but I’ve heard a lot of great things about them. This one, in particular, sounds very interesting! Tell me in the comments if you would like to read this book.

It comes out September 5th, 2017.

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

Synopsis

New York Times bestselling author Adam Silvera reminds us that there’s no life without death and no love without loss in this devastating yet uplifting story about two people whose lives change over the course of one unforgettable day.

On September 5, a little after midnight, Death-Cast calls Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio to give them some bad news: They’re going to die today. Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but, for different reasons, they’re both looking to make a new friend on their End Day. The good news: There’s an app for that. It’s called the Last Friend, and through it, Rufus and Mateo are about to meet up for one last great adventure—to live a lifetime in a single day.
